End-of-Life Therapy
There comes a time in all our lives when our bodies experience distress. This may be due to chronic illness, injury, or aging. Maybe the body is preparing for the transition of death. Often our instinct is to turn away in avoidance and fear. Together we could face these challenges with courage and compassion creating a safe space to support the mind and body during this vulnerable time.
In our work together, my role could vary from asking clarifying questions, to offering nurturing experiences, to simply being present with you. Here is a sampling of support I can provide:
- Helping you process your thoughts and emotions. This can include moving towards peace-of-mind by resolving anger, fear, numbness, sadness, or regret as well as embodying acceptance and love.
- Bringing a sense of curiosity and compassion to your contemplation around aging and death. Together, we can explore topics such as identifying meaningful “bucket list” experiences or engaging in the process of life review.
- Opening up space to reflect on your medical choices to ensure that your decisions are in alignment with the values that are most important to you.
- Offering a mindful approach to dealing with chronic pain so you can find moments of respite in the present moment.
- Facilitating effective communication with your loved ones to empower connection and healing.
- Supporting projects and rituals that honor the expression and processing of your grief.

Death is our friend precisely because it brings us into absolute and passionate presence with all that is here, that is natural, that is love…
