Background

  • I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #140368. I use she/her pronouns.

  • I work with adult individuals and welcome people of all races, gender identities, sexual orientations, countries of origin, abilities, lifestyles, ethnicities, sizes, and spiritual/religious affiliations.

  • I see clients in-person on Mondays and Wednesdays during the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • My office is at 2222 Second Street (Suite 10) in Livermore, CA. This historic building does not have an elevator so there is also the option to meet via secure video telehealth if needed.

Fees

  • 50-minute session for $160

  • I have a limited number of sliding scale spaces.

  • I have a 24-hour cancellation policy which means if you cancel within 24-hours of your appointment, you will be charged the session fee.

  • I am an Out of Network Provider. I accept cash, checks, and credit cards.

  • If you have PPO insurance, I can provide an invoice that you can submit for possible reimbursement. Contact your insurance company for more information.

  • Under the federal law, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate”. Health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Getting Started

  • Email me (amymkitajima@gmail.com) or call/text me (925-404-7169) and we can set up a free 20 minute phone consultation to see if I can be of support to you.

  • First Session – We meet and see if it’s a good match. You will have an opportunity to share your aspirations for our time together.

  • Subsequent sessions – Generally I find that it is most beneficial to meet with clients on a weekly basis so I will reserve a day and time slot just for you.
